A World of Science

Instead of embodiment. instead of focusing on our differences, and our different experiences of the world.. why can't we, just for a day perhaps, look beyond ourselves. look beyond our experiences as a species and consider what connects us to the universe.

What a world we will find.

“The four most common chemically active elements in the universe—hydrogen, oxygen, carbon, and nitrogen—are the four most common elements of life on Earth. We are not simply in the universe. The universe is in us.”
- Neil deGrasse Tyson

Science is not answers. it gives us wonderful knowledge, truth, but fundamentally; it is not knowledge. It is a way of asking questions, critically. to observe nature and wonder how things really work.

I strongly, and passionately believe this is the ultimate form of knowledge we can find. it is what unites us. it is our past, and our future. As a life form. as habitants and part of the cosmos. As humans on earth. people in science discriminate, institutions discriminate and colonize. but not our knowledge. In science, in thinking, we are all free. In science, we speak of scientists. These can be women, men, gender fluid, trans, black, white, straight, queer,able-bodied, autistic. Anything. Anyone.
"If, in some cataclysm, all scientific knowledge were to be destroyed, and only one sentence passed on to the next generation of creatures, what statement would contain the most information in the fewest words? I believe it is the atomic hypothesis (or atomic fact, or whatever you wish to call it) that all things are made of atoms—little particles that move around in perpetual motion, attracting each other when they are a little distance apart, but repelling upon being squeezed into one another. In that one sentence you will see an enormous amount of information about the world, if just a little imagination and thinking are applied."
- Richard Feynman
