The visitor bumps into someone. 'Excuse me!', says the visitor. The other person frowns. He says: 'Why would you say that? It clearly was not on purpose' and walks on. At first, the visitor finds this response rude. Apparently, manners are not appreciated here.
After some time, the visitor realizes something: this is not too bad. The inhabitants of this world are not unsympathetic, they are just direct. Since there are no unwritten rules, it is clear what they expect from eachother. Although the visitor had to get used to their directness, he realizes that it is actually quite nice.
The visitor has just been diagnosed with
ADHD. It is march, 2021 and the visitor is
taking his ritalin. However, the ritalin
must have had a special ingredient.
When it kicks in, the visitor is suddenly in
new World!
The visitor enters a room and observes how people are performing a certain task. Something strange is going on: nobody is speaking. The people are sitting in silence, while doing their jobs.
While the visitor is conversating with an inhabitant, he talks about his ADHD. The inhabitants exclaims: 'ADHD?? What is that?? We do not know that here!' The visitor asks: 'What about autism or other mental deficits?' The inhabitant says: 'Nope, we don't know that here'.
The visitor walks out of the room. When he moves outsside he is in awe. There are written rules everywhere! There is a fundamental structure in this world. The expectations towards the other seem to be crystal clear.
The ritalin must have lost its effect, because suddenly the visitor is back in 2021. The visitor looks at his medication strips. He sighs: 'fuck it', and he throws them in the bin.
The visitor is extremely confused. The silence makes him really uncomfortable. When he taps someone on the shoulder, the persons gets upset. He points to a 'do not disturb' sign.
